(San Diego) – On October 20, 2010, the newly elected Executive Board of SEIU Local 221, which represents 10,000 public service workers in San Diego and Imperial Counties, was sworn into office. The Executive Board was elected on September 21, 2010 in a Department of Labor run election.
Sworn into the Executive Board were: President Eric Banks, Vice President Alberto Parra, Secretary Martha Rodriguez, Treasurer David Garcias, Politics Chair Michael Dobbins, Member Organizing Chair Julayne Gath, Social/Economic Justice Chair Johari Lewis, Counties – Community Services Chair Felicia Boyd, Counties – General Services Chair Cornelius Hill, Counties – HHS Chair Robert Larsen, Counties – Public Safety Chair Cheryl Bright, Cities Chair John Hale, Schools Chair Chuck Lord, Registered Nurses Chair Kathy Griffee, and Court/Special Districts Chair Jim Partridge.
The oath was administered by Kristy Sermersheim.
