SEIU Local 221 represents almost 600 employees with cities and districts in the San Diego and Imperial County areas.

These employees have joined SEIU Local 221 to gain a voice on the job and improve working conditions in order to continue providing reliable public services in our communities. The cities and districts include:

Calexico
Chula Vista
Encinitas and San Dieguito Water District
Imperial Beach
La Mesa
National City
San Marcos

Employees work in a variety of areas including the police department, finance, public works, animal control, local libraries, fire department, to name just a few.
